Over the past couple of years, I've been pretty active in the modding scene. Specifically, the Super Mario 64 Rom Hacking community. This is just one project out of many modding projects I wanted to share.
This was a fun project I helped out with, And I am very proud of the end results. I learned so much about how to test my skills under strict limitations, especially considering this runs on real Nintendo 64 hardware. There was also a lot to be learned about Low-Poly character modeling, texturing, and a small bit of rigging done in Blender.
Both Captain ShyGuy and BooGuy were modeled using Maya, Blender, and a small bit of Zbrush. Textures were done using a mixture of Clip Studio Paint, and Affinity Photo. And finally, the nice renders you see were made with Marmoset.
Did I mention this runs on real hardware? ;)
